Common questions

How often should my piano be tuned?

Once a year suits most pianos in a normal home. Twice a year is for the ones that earn it: a piano just back from a big pitch raise, one coming back after years untouched, or one that gets played hard. More on the FAQ page.

What is a pitch raise?

A first pass that brings the whole piano up to pitch, so the fine tuning holds. Good news: it is included in every tuning at no extra cost. More answers on the FAQ page.

Do you tune digital pianos?

No. Digital pianos do not go out of tune. We service acoustic uprights and grands only.

Do you do repairs?

Yes: broken strings, sticky keys, regulation, voicing, and more. The repair visit covers the trip and the first look, and small fixes are often done on the spot. Bigger work is quoted plainly before anything starts. More in the FAQ.

How long does a visit take?

A tuning takes about 50 minutes to 2 hours depending on the piano. Please clear a little space around the piano before we arrive. Open Monday to Saturday, 9am to 7pm.
